Walnut Commode with Secret Drawer, circa 1860–1890

Refined 19th-century chest of drawers in solid walnut, stripped to natural light tone. Two primary drawers with hand-cut dovetail joinery; single concealed secret drawer at top. Turned pilaster details flank the case. Original hardware intact. Top shows honest patching and grain variation consistent with age and use—evidence of careful period repair. Solid, stable construction throughout.

Condition: Good. Drawers slide smoothly. Hand-cut dovetails intact. Top has visible patches and worn finish; structurally sound. Hardware original.
