Bring a little quiet Italian charm into your home with this original framed still life, imported from Italy. A single blush-red rose with deep green leaves rises from a softly mottled blue vase, set against a hazy blue-grey wall and a warm, earthy tabletop.
The painting is built with thick, textural brushwork. The rose petals are worked in creamy impasto that catches the light, while the background is scumbled in soft, layered strokes. The muted palette and simple composition give it a calm, contemplative feel in the tradition of Italian still life.
It’s signed in red paint at the lower right (reads “M.E.M.A.”). The piece comes in a substantial gilt wood frame with a warm, naturally aged patina, a linen-textured cream mat, and a slim gold inner fillet, all under glass. It’s ready to hang with a wire hook on the back.
It would look lovely in an entryway, a bedroom, a kitchen, or as part of a gallery wall.
