A small, gracefully proportioned white glazed pitcher, hand-selected from a private Roman interior. The body is banded in relief with classical acanthus leaf borders, beaded pearl trim, and scrolling foliate medallions of grape clusters — a motif rooted in the Bacchanalian ceramic tradition popular across 19th-century Italian and European potteries. The strap handle continues the beaded detailing found at the rim.
Unmarked apart from an old collector’s inventory notation to the underside (“1368 / Italy”), consistent with a piece sourced directly from a private estate rather than a retail channel.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Two small chips to the rim edge (front and side, see detail photo) where glaze has flaked to reveal the clay body beneath — typical of a piece with real history of use. No cracks, no repairs, no structural issues. Sold as-is; photographed to accurately represent condition.

Roman Estates sources authentic 18th–20th century Italian and European antiques directly from private Roman estates and historic dealers. Each piece is individually selected for quality, provenance, and design merit.
A note on antiques: Antiques aren't new — that's the whole point. Every scratch, patina mark and sign of age is a badge of honour, not a defect. Detail photos are unfiltered and show the piece exactly as it is. We're happy to provide additional photos or videos upon request. All sales are final, so take a good look, ask us anything, and buy what you love.
